The theme at this month’s monthly competition at our local camera club was Macro Photography. It was an interesting collection of the usual subjects; bugs, coins, flowers, rings, and a few zippers. I tried to break away from the usual with a picture of my daughter’s eye. I was so surprised I was able to get her to sit still long enough as I hovered inches from her face with my big Nikon. She was a fantastic model and the resulting pictures were my favorites. Thanks Darling!
I took a unique approach with the match shot and boy it was hard to get. I had to enlist my son’s help to ignite the match and get the other match out of the frame before I snapped the shutter. It was an interesting setup. Maybe next year if the theme happens again I’ll try it again.
Happy Snapping to all my fellow photographers!
